Day 15 - Cabano to Iroquois Reserve (just past Edmunston)

Well, Bas and I decided when we woke up today that we wanted to have a big day - and it felt like we were making decent time...started out from Cabano again along Le Route Vert, which is still a gravel trail.  I think I've finally gotten past my spill at home, and I'm comfortable with riding on gravel again...just have to watch turns!  The ride to the border was pretty status quo - it was pretty scenic, right along the lake and through a lot of rock cuts (thank god again for railways!!).
Riding along the gravel railway trails

There were even the old wooden rail bridges - made for a scenic ride!

Once we got to the border, Bas and I spent some time on their free internet (all New Brunswick tourist infos have it!)...and apparently that stop, combined with the time we spent shopping and having timmy's in Edmunston made for a shorter day then planned.

Bas - oh so photogenic...at the less then impressive New Brunswick Sign
We camped just past Edmunston in a little private camp ground on the reserve.  The laundry was super cheap ($2 to wash and dry a load), and the weather was nice for reading and journal writing - so, it's a good early day today!  Got some laundry done (shirts were starting to need a good washing!) and had some delicious soft tacos for dinner!  Just before heading to bed, the family from yesterday caught us AGAIN - we decided as nice a family as they were, that we should definitely be riding much further then them in a day.  Tomorrow's goal - lose the family!!
